Why Is Jack Tretton's Heart Broken about PS4?
PS4 supply shortages make Jack a very sad man
We're often at the forefront of calling BS on video games company management but this time all logic indicates that Sony's USA head man Jack Tretton is speaking the truth about this broken heart and the PS4.
Jack's upset not about the rather dull games line-up at launch but more about the fact that he can't get enough hardware into the hands of consumers; worse still people are suggesting that this supply throttling is deliberate. He says:
“You have competition out there. There are lots of things that people can spend money on, especially during the holidays; and the holidays only come around once a year, so that’s really when you want to take advantage of the market opportunity...It breaks my heart if somebody's got $400 in their hand and they want one and we can't sell them one."
