Zavvi Makes PS Vita Mistake - Threatens Legal Action
Here's an ethical problem for gamers and other human beings everywhere: you pay for something but by mistake you are sent something else very much more valuable: what do you do?

Or, as is the case with UK retailer Zavvi, a copy of Tearaway (£19.99) and a Sony PS Vita (£149.99): you send the hardware by mistake to fulfill an order for the software. What do you do? This is the case currently. A few weeks back delivered the wrong kit in error. Firstly it offered to pick up the mis-delivered item by courier. It didn't get all of the Vitas back so it has now decided to go to the legal option garnering it screams of 'Scumbags' from some quarters.

Zavvi sent a letter/email stating:

"This is our final notice to politely remind you that you did not order, or pay for, a PS Vita and if you fail to contact us by 5pm (UK time) on 10th December 2013 to arrange a convenient time for the PS Vita to be collected we reserve the right to enforce any and/or all legal remedies available to us.

"Please email feedback@thehutgroup.com with the correct collection details. We look forward to hearing from you shortly."

So, a 'scumbag' act or simply reacting to customers who didn't return goods that they hadn't paid for or requested? What would you do?

DarkZero via Eurogamer reports that. "

In a sane world, the obvious answer would be: SEND THEM BACK. That this is a moral quandary for Spong--or anyone else--is a pretty sad commentary on our times.

I'd send it back, as somewhere someone could have recieved a solus copy of Tearaway when they ordered a PS Vita Bundle. I'd hate to be that person, so I wouldn't be the opposite person keeping a Bundle when they ordered just the game.

I believe that keeping it is legally considered theft, so I'd let them arrange pick up.

Besides, it's the right thing to do.
