A soothsayer or, as they like to be called these days, an 'Analyst' with a quite superbly English name has decided to actually state figures in terms of Xbox One and PS4 sales... up to 2017!IHS head of games research Piers Harding-Rolls is the very fortune teller and he's foretelling of 2.4 million PS4 sales by the end of 2013 versus 2.2 million Xbox One sales. But there is more.
Harding-Rolls, has sent a note to various media outlets that states, "IHS believes that Sony's wider geographical brand allegiance – especially across continental Europe and Japan – will be decisive in allowing PS4 to outsell Xbox One on a global basis by the end of 2017."
He's even got numbers. He believes that by 2017, "2017 PS4 will have sold 49m units worldwide with Xbox One trailing behind on 38m units."
Superb stuff.
