In the lead up to the release of the PS4 in the USA on November 15th Sony has hooked up with Amazon to create what is basically a whole new PlayStation Network Store. This is actually very big news indeed. It provides an entire new channel for PSN and includes the ability to purchase DLC, games... basically all the stuff you could buy from the notoriously pain-in-the-ass to use PSN frontend.
Our friendly local analyst points out that, "I think the web front end on PSN wasn't so popular, so they're trying it this way, plus affiliate links come built in, testing the waters for others, Play, Game, Gamestop, etc to put PSN on their own websites? It's a sop to the retailers cut out of digital distribution."
What do you reckon? Would you use it on Amazon? Tell us in Comments.
