Your PS3 Headset Won't Support PS4 Chat at Launch
Not support at launch for Bluetooth and no support likely for USB
If your PS3 headset supports digital optical audio and you're going to get a PS4 then you can probably afford to read on past this point and go back to making tea. Otherwise read on...
Other headsets, using USB or even Bluetooth for chat that you've been using with your PS3 are going to have big problems with PS4.
Gameinformer reports that, "Any other headset that relies on bluetooth for chat will not work at all. If you have something that relies on USB for chat (like the Astro mixamps and Astro A50 wireless system), you'll eventually be able to use those. An update will be coming in the future.
"Any headset that relies on digital optical for game audio will continue to provide that out of the box. You just won't be able to chat yet."

Then again, the PS4 comes with a headset so you'll be able to chat, just maybe not with as nice headsets as you have now.
