Sony has identified the fact that it needs to do a great deal to get a great deal out of PlayStation Vita. So, this year at gamescom in Cologne it's gone for price cuts in hardware and memory.

With games such as Tearaway from the Media Molecule studio that already brought the world LittleBigPlanet already coming, tonights' gamescom in Cologne also indicated with price cuts to the hardware in Europe and with forthcoming memory card price cuts that the company is serious about its handheld.

The Vita will be going down in price to 199 Euros and $199 in the USA. We're not sure about the UK price right now. Current price is £169.

"Significant" cuts to memory cards are also incoming thank gods.

In terms of games, FIFA 14, Football Manager and Borderlands 2 - as well as a titles galore from Indie makers.
