Wii U Dropped by all Asda Stores
Wal Mart-owned UK supermarket Asda has stopped selling the Wii U and its related products through its bricks and mortar stores.

The retailer also appears to have stopped selling the 3DS through its online store, Asda Direct.

The abandonment of Wii U products extends right through hardware, software and accessories. All that remains of the retailer's offering is a selection of eight products in the online store. Three of those are already marked as 'Clearance', however.

Asda confirmed the move to CVG, stating, "Asda continues to offer customers a selection of Wii U games and accessories through Asda Direct, but these ranges are currently not on offer in Asda shops."

It didn't completely rule out selling future software through the website, however. The company added: "Asda will stock [Wii U] games on a title by title merit basis as they come along through Asda Direct. We will continue to support Nintendo as a format holder partner."

Nintendo, unsurprisingly, hasn't commented on the retailer's decision.

the bigest problem with the wii u is the price and the audience if u look at the typical wii buyer they were the non gamer and is somebody who play a game once every couple of months willing to spend £249.99/£299.99 when they could by a 4gb 360 for £149.99 or carry on using the wii then theres the fact that people dont see it as a NEW CONSOLE listening to customers when in shops iv heard so many times im not spending that on a add on. then u have the hardcore games who are not going to spend that kinda money on a toy when the ps4 £349.00 and xboxOne £429.00 are out in November and people noes theres a future for them . the wii u is a Dreamcast
