E3 2013: Insomniac Announces Xbox One Exclusive, Sunset Overdrive
Colourful alien-blasting madness.
Insomniac has defected! After a number of years working with Sony on PlayStation-exclusive titles, its latest title is an Xbox One only title called Sunset Overdrive. It's colourful, features parkour and looks rather fun.
According to Insomniac CEO Ted Price, this is a game that the team has been wanting to make for a long time. It certainly has that classic Insomniac flair, which a lot of gamers feared had been lost with its most recent release with EA, Fuse.
Sunset Overdrive will apparently use Xbox One's cloud technology to push a lot of the action on screen. We were only able to see a trailer at Microsoft's conference, but here's the gist - cartoony characters, kicking about in an urban environment, blasting the heck out of aliens.
