Shadow of the Eternals, a spiritual successor to cult Gamecube hit Eternal Darkness, may be cancelled if funding cannot be secured through Kickstarter, an executive at Precursor Games has said.COO Shawn Jackson fielded questions on
Reddit regarding the title, the art assets of which Precursor purchased from Silicon Knights a while ago. At the moment, the studio is asking for $1.35 million to help develop Shadow of the Eternals.
When asked if the developer would still work on the project if the target was not met, Jackson replied, "Since we do not have any other source of funding, it is unlikely." At the moment, the crowd-funding initiative has generated $115,009, with 18 days left to go.
