Gamers Target Sony Execs With PS4 Anti-DRM Campaign
Microsoft's unstable PR approach to communicating Xbox One's pre-owned and digital rights management strategy has a lot of people very concerned. Naturally. With Sony still unified in its silence on the matter, a number of gamers have taken it upon themselves to persuade the PlayStation 4 maker not to follow suit.

The #PS4NoDRM and #PS4USEDGAMES campaign began on enthusiast forum NeoGAF, urging fellow users (and by extension, gamers around the world) to Tweet their concerns on DRM and resale directly to a number of Sony Computer Entertainment executives.

Targets in the campaign include Shuhei Yoshida, president of SCE's Worldwide Studios, hardware marketing head John Koller, brand marketing SVP Guy Longworth and product development head Scott Rohde. All have been bombarded with appeals, in what has been described as a 'respectful' and 'polite' protest.

As you would expect, the campaign has now gone viral, with many other websites and communities now taking part. It's clearly an issue that means a lot to many hobbyists. It's also feedback that Sony has suggested that it is listening to - part of the silence is reportedly down to the PlayStation maker watching the fallout from Microsoft's Xbox One reveal last week and deciding on a course of action that can appeal best to its core audience.
