We don't know when it's being released, and we don't know how much it's going to cost. But supermarket chain ASDA is already offering a pre-order service for Sony's PlayStation 4.Customers who are keen to get their hands on the upcoming console will need to plonk down £20 to reserve their machine. You get a 'pre-order voucher' code with which you can use as proof of your order. Although no RRP or release date is mentioned
on the pre-order page, ASDA notes that "the current expected date of release made by Sony is Christmas 2013."
It is the first non-specialist retailer to begin pre-orders for the console, and marks the first time that ASDA has ever taken reservations for a games console. A spokesperson said (via MCV), that the company "believes that the demand for this next generation console will be worth the system development and time we have invested to bring this offer to our customers."
Fancy reserving? Why not do so when you next go out to get some milk?
