Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has used the Japanese Nintendo Direct video to own up to slowness and the Wii U.The Japanese Nintendo Direct broadcast features a number of updates as well as the admission that something must and will be done to increase the speed of response of the new console.
The Verge reports that, "Iwata acknowledges the inconveniences caused by the system's slow performance for tasks like switching between applications, as well as the long update required to unlock all online functionality, and says the company will work to address the issues. No timeframe was given for any possible patch."
