Deadly Premonition will include PlayStation Move support, improved controls and better visuals when the Director's Cut hits PlayStation 3 next year, producer Swery has said.An update to the quirky action adventure, loosely inspired by
Twin Peaks (and just as weird), was
announced for the PS3 back in March by executive producer Yasuhiro Wada. It was originally released on Xbox 360 back in 2010 and was the subject of polarising opinion by critics.
Swery revealed in a blog post on the
Access Games website that Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut will run in 'full HD', "contrary to the two-year-old original." He also added, "It's very easy to control now, so even people who didn't play the original should have no doubts about taking the plunge this time.
"Of course there are new elements as well, such as extra scenarios and PlayStation Move support, so people who already completed the game before will find plenty of new stuff to like as well. In any case, we tried to create this Director's Cut in such a way that the appearance of the game world would be maintained, while also being accessible to newcomers and old fans."
Rising Star Games will be publishing the game in Europe in early 2013.
