Looks like some retailers spoke a bit too soon when it came to the final pricing of Nintendo's Wii U console - after promising £210 (Basic) and £250 (Premium), Gamestation has amended its pricing upwards. Other retailers have settled on final pricing too, after days of fiddling with numbers.Ironically, it now seems that GAME and Gamestation offers the most expensive Wii U packages -
£260 for the Basic package, and
£310 for the Premium. Better start saving those extra pennies, kids! Other retailers, such as Amazon, Sainsbury's and HMV, seem to have agreed on a standard price for both. £250 for Basic, and £300 for Premium.
The cheapest retailer so far now seems to be Zavvi, which is asking for
£230 for Basic and
£275 for the Premium pack. GameStop, bizarrely, appears to be asking for £300 for either package. Which is a bit odd.
For those of you who need to catch up, the Basic Wii U pack will consist of a white 8GB console, a GamePad and two AC adaptors; the Premium pack will come with a black 32GB console, a copy of NintendoLand, a stand for your GamePad and an additional sensor bar. Premium buyers will also get a 10% rebate from all digital purchases made on the Nintendo eShop.
