Electronic Arts management team hasn't had a Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since Eric Brown resigned in February 2012. Now it does and he's come to support CEO John Riccitiello.According to EA: "Blake Jorgensen has been appointed as the company's Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Jorgensen will report directly to Chief Executive Officer John Riccitiello and will have responsibility for the company's global financial operations. He will start at EA in early September 2012."
Much as we'd like a juicy headline about John Riccitiello's already interesting position being weakened by the appointment of a new, bright young gun, it is not to be.
Blake heads over to fill Eric's chair and he comes from
Levi's the blue jeans maker where he was executive vice president and chief financial officer...
Whatever, Blake Jorgensen still sounds like a name that EA might even use in a game.
Blake Jorgensen Killer Accountant, that sounds good.
