SEGA Confirms Office Closures in Europe
Troubled publisher SEGA has confirmed that it is shutting some of its European offices as part of the restructuring of its Western operations.

The move stops short of the rumoured full closure of SEGA's European business, but will include the closure of the company's offices in France, Germany, Spain, Australia and Benelux.

Koch Media will pick up the slack in distribution of SEGA's boxed titles in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France and Spain, while Level03 Distribution will do the job in Benelux and 5 Star Games will handle distribution in Australia. The rest of the territories will continue in the same manner as before, with SEGA's European HQ in London overseeing the whole lot.

SEGA has been suffering due to poor financials earlier in the year and recently had to push back Platinum Games' Anarchy Reigns - arguably the biggest upcoming title in its portfolio - to next year.

SPOnG wishes any staff affected good luck and best wishes for the future.
