Following yesterday’s shock news that Nintendo of America President Minoru Arakawa was to retire, rumour has spread that he may be followed to the golf course by Nintendo’s global President Hiroshi Yamauchi.
Yamauchi is about 3,000 years old, so this should not come as too much of a surprise to the educated gamer. And speculation as to his predecessor? Iwata and Miyamoto have both been mentioned.
Not surprisingly, Nintendo declined to comment on these musings, but did try and convince us that Yamauchi is somewhat younger than 3,000 years. We were not taken in however, and Nintendo could not provide proof of his age.
