In a discussion with Japanese Famitsu magazine, Shigeru Miyamoto has made some interesting commitments to the Nintendo fanbase about the company’s upcoming projects.
Perhaps most exciting is the promise to show both Mario Sunshine and the GameCube cell-shaded Zelda title in playable form at this year’s E3 in May. Both games have been bubbling away in the cauldrons of Nintendo HQ for about three years now, and Miyamoto predicts that playable versions will be available for the crucial show.
In other amazing news, Miyamoto has stated that his team have been working away on a secret GameCube title for some time now. He said that this mystery title will also be on show at E3. As to what this game could be, we can only guess.
Miyamoto also stated that he expects the GameCube to have a lifespan of about seven to eight years, quite a long run for a gaming machine. He said that the potential of GameCube has not even been brushed by current development and it has so much to offer that it will see out the decade.
