Andrew House, president of Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) has made some bold predictions for the company's games machines in "Fiscal 2012", with PlayStation Vita to sell 10 million units. Speaking to
Reuters Japan, while at E3 USA Mr House has said that, despite selling 1.8 million units since its launch in December last year in Japan with a February launch in the rest of the world, the PS Vita will sell 10 million in fiscal 2012.
For some more context,
Andriasang points out that, "During its most recent annual earnings report, Sony listed a combined 16 million sales target for all its portable game hardware, including PSP and Vita."
Aside from sales predictions, Mr House said this about PS4, "I have nothing to say about next generation hardware." OK then. He did say, however, that software like
The Last of Us,
Wonder Book and
Beyond enable the company to, "believe that through games like this, we can show that PlayStation 3's future is strong."
