Nintendo pulled Ubisoft onto the stage as part of its E3 press conference to highlight the third party goodies coming to Wii U.
Yves Guillemot made an appearance to say nice things about the platform, but the highlight of the section was Xavier Poix of Ubisoft’s French studios coming on stage to show off Just Dance 4 and Zombi U.
Just Dance 4 looked Just Dance-y, but the neat feature being waved about was part of the multiplayer game. As well as four people dancing, a fifth player will be able to select moves for them to perform on the fly using the GamePad.
Zombi U was the core offering, with the demo showing the game being played entirely with the GamePad. The pad is your 'survival kit', and you can use it to select inventory. Or use it as a scanner/sniper rifle. Or shake to wrestle off zombies. Or, in a nice little use of the camera, use it to zombify people. This was tried out on Nintendo America president Reggie Fils-Aime to give him a slumpy face.
The presentation ended with a video montage, showing Assassin's Creed III, Rabbids, Your Shape, Rayman Legends, Sports Connection and Avengers Battle for Earth.
