Microsoft could be giving the ol' music business (yet) another try on the Xbox, if a number of job listings are anything to go by. A Paris-based "Team Xbox Live Music" group is looking for candidates to help in "building a massive catalog of music content from multiple vendors... for consumption on Xbox, Windows, mobile phones and the web."According to a report on Kotaku, the description of these
openings match those of Microsoft-owned Musiwave back in
March. It's likely that the service will be rebranded for the Xbox, with the name of "Xbox Music Center". There are some
LinkedIn profiles that mention that name specifically.
The Xbox has previously serviced gamers with a music content delivery platform in Zune - which has received something of a lukewarm reception since a recent relaunch. Microsoft is no doubt trying to emulate the success it has had with its TV and video content offering.
