Diablo III is live... sort of. One thing is for sure, the game is hugely popular in concept and has been purchased quite a lot. That's if the complaints on its Facebook page and the Twitter hashtag #Error37 are anything to go by.The press release from Activision Blizzard this morning was glowing with pride, with Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment, stating, "This launch is a culmination of many years of hard work by our development team, and many years of passionate, dedicated support from gamers around the world
"We’re grateful for the enthusiasm of our players, and for the help of our beta testers in getting the game ready for release. Now that
Diablo III is live, we hope everyone’s ready to have a hellishly good time slaying demons and collecting loot in Sanctuary.”
However, as soon as the servers for the multiplayer specialising title opened up, the game's Facebook page attracted comments such as (sic all round for your reference):
"if i could have my money back, i would. and buy the D3 after the boss 37 be defeted" Otávio Augusto Zanatta Devito
"Switched to Asia and got in like the 10th try. Americas are the most overwhelmed evidently" Darren Vassaur
"Diablo 3 release was slain by error 37" Twelv Hundo
The Twitter feed is even more disturbing for Activision Blizzard as it keeps trending away with the likes off:
"You guys remember those 1.5 hours when everyone hated Blizzard and then they went back to being infallible? That was weird. #error37" from associate editor of
GameInformer Kyle Hilliard.
