Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn that is the name of the Halo 4-related live action series that will be appearing on the web prior to the game's launch in November.
Variety reports that, Microsoft's "Xbox gaming division is putting considerable coin behind Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn
, which will play exclusively on male-skewing entertainment website Machinima and online community Halo Waypoint in the weeks leading up to Halo 4
's release November. 6."
Don't expect this to be some cheapy deal wither, as Microsoft claims that this is its "largest investment ... in live action to date."
Xbox is keeping a tight lid on additional details, including the Web series' director and cast, preferring to hype the involvement of its creative team at Comic-Con in San Diego this July.
Matt McCloskey, director of franchise business management at 343 Industries says in fact that, "We wanted to do something unique from a narrative standpoint that's big in scale."
The series will have five weekly instalments at 15 minutes each revolving around dear old Master Chief and a "young UNSC cadet who will eventually become a leader aboard the UNSC Infinity spacecraft."
