Splash Damage Announces iOS Focus With Rad Soldiers
Splash Damage, the plucky British developer behind recent ambitious shooter Brink, has revealed its next game - a multiplayer turn-based strategy game for iOS devices, called Rad Soldiers.

The studio also announced a decisive focus on tablets and smartphones, with the official opening of internal publisher WarChest. The new company will focus on free, digitally distributed titles, with Rad Soldiers being the first when it's released on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch this June.

Rad Soldiers sees a group of cartoony mercenaries do battle in areas around London for control of various districts. All kinds of crazy equipment and abilities can be used as you move your army around an isometric 3D arena.

Speaking about the decision to go turn-based, game director Richard Jolly said, "Turn-based combat means there's no rush, allowing you to ponder your next move at your leisure, and giving you ample time to unleash your inner tactical genius. And you'll earn valuable experience for your soldiers whenever you play, levelling up your squad commander to unlock new abilities."

Coins can be earned while playing and can be used to unlock new outfits and customisation options, and Splash Damage is taking advantage of both Game Center and Facebook to bring the game to your friends.

Debut trailer is below.
