Epic Confirms, Then Cancels Gears of War: Exile

You can all put away the crystal balls. Epic Games has confirmed that it was working on a Gears of War project titled Exile - until it got sent to development hell where it may never recover.
Series creator Cliff Bleszinski revealed to Gamespot that the Exile project - whatever it was - has been cancelled and won't be seeing light of day. He wasn't willing to speak about what the thing was exactly either. A new game? A service? The rumoured 'Kinect-ready' Gears of War spinoff? Who knows.
"Let's just bury the hatchet now," he said. "Gears of War: Exile was an unannounced game that I can't give any details about that has since been cancelled." Aw Cliff, you're no fun!
