According to a email from Nintendo to a Japanese retailer, that has fallen into the hands of WiiUDaily the date for the launch of Wii U in its homeland of Japan, and in the USA is a Sunday. That is correct. Well, as correct as a leaked email to a retailer can be. According to the site, the launch dates are:
"November 18th, 2012 for North America, and one week later for Japan. The Wii originally launched on November 19, 2006, which also happened to be a Sunday. There was no word on the European Wii U launch date."
The report apparently originated as an internal email..."circulated among staff at a game store in Japan, the Akihabara-based Media Land, one of the most popular video game shops in Tokyo."
It's pre-the Holidays, and Japan isn't adverse to the odd Sunday launch. As for the USA and a Sunday launch, however?
