In news that should shock absolutely nobody, Microsoft has announced that more people spend more time using music and TV applications on the Xbox 360 than they do playing multiplayer games on Xbox Live. It probably has nothing to do with the arrangement of the new dashboard. Nope.According to the stats released by the console manufacturer, US Xbox Live Gold subscribers are spending an average of 84 hours a month on the online service, with a global increase of 30 per cent. Entertainment apps usage has doubled year on year, and although no specific numbers were offered, Microsoft said that the increase has allowed entertainment usage to surpass that of online multiplayer gaming.
The news follows announcement of new Comcast and HBO Go apps for the platform today.
