GAME and GameStation Sites Both Go Down then Up

In what is rapidly becoming a morning of nervous website watching with the future of the United Kingdom's primary video games retailer teetering on the edge, we have to report that both Game.co.uk and Gamestation.co.uk sites went down for maintenance this morning sparking conspiracy stories of the group's imminent demise.

With the group's share price dipping horribly this morning it would seem to be a huge error of judgement to take both retail sites offline purely for maintenance.

However, combining a "conspiracy" theory ("GameStop to buy GAME" for example) with the disappearance of two sites for less than an hour does seem to be pushing the "GAME is dead" story a little bit too hard for our liking.

So, until an official announcement occurs, we're going to wish the shopfloor staff at GAME and GameStation all the very best.
