The two 'Bad Samaritans' who pretended to help medical student Ashraf Rossili who had been beaten up but instead stole his Sony PSP using the August riots in the UK as cover have been convicted in court today. However, one of the thugs left the court, angering Judge James Patrick.
The Press Association reports that, "A jury at Wood Green Crown Court convicted John Kafunda 22, of robbery and violent disorder."
On conviction, however, "The pair shook their heads as the jury foreman returned the unanimous verdicts. Kafunda walked out of the dock down to the cells as the jury rose. He refused to return." This lead to the judge, explaining to Kafunda that "he wanted to speak to him later to discuss whether it was "appropriate" for a defendant to leave without the judge's permission."
