If you're a developer working on Saints Row The Third you may have been suffering from what we like to call "Over-Promising-Darned-Sales-Folks" after the E3 hint of a PS3 exclusive game mode in your game. If you're a consumer, you might also be a little confused by the apparent reality.Back at Sony's E3 2011 press conference SCEA boss Jack Tretton mentioned that
Saints Row: The Third would use the game's "signature weapon (the dildo bat) in an exclusive PS3 mode.
Apparently... no one told the developers that
remain over at Volition because, as
Joystiq reports, "when retail copies of Saints Row: The Third arrived for review on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 last week. After booting up each and looking around thoroughly, we can assure you that there's no content difference between the two versions. We contacted THQ, who today offered a "No comment" to our inquiry."
We're looking as well...
