GTA V: Los Angeles with Multiple Playable Characters
GTA V gets LA according to 'sources'
Well, if rumours are true - sorry, 'sources' - Take 2 and Rockstar will be able to make some more money from all those LA models they helped produce for LA Noire. GTA V is going to be in Los Angeles... apparently.
In inimitable style, Kotaku reports that, "a source familiar with the game told" them that.... "GTA V will be set in some version of L.A., bringing the famous franchise to a place that last got the GTA treatment in the series' top-selling Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas."
It continues with the news that, via "multiple sources", GTA V "will feature more than just one playable character."
Los Angeles then... who would have thought it?
Oh, and R* has added a countdown to yesterday's announcement:

It's pretty obvious it will be LA tbh. As soon as I saw the logo I thought the "V" looked very much like a gang tattoo.
Here's hoping for something like a sequel to the epic San Andreas, with jetpacks , jump-jets, gimp suits and double-ended dildos... (dildoes?). Potatoes, volcanoes. Yes, I suppose it is dildoes.

It makes a lot of sense that it would be set in a specific part of San Andreas - in this case Los Santos - since it would mean that successive games, or episodes, could then be set in the remaining areas of San Fierro and Las Venturas.
