With Xbox 360 exclusive Forza Motorsport 4 (reviewed here) hoving into view for its October 14th release, Polyphony Digital will release Spec 2.0 updates to the PS3-exclusive GT5 (eviscerated here) on October 11th.According to Polyphony head man Kazunori Yamauchi on
Twitter,"For the DLC (which comes a week after the update) we’re preparing a racing car pack, a course pack, and a racing gear pack," and promised more details soon."
The updates include:
Spec 2.0 will include:
- Simplified interior view added to all standard cars
- User control of the weather change feature
- New Opening movie
- A setting sheet feature allowing you to save multiple car settings
- Replay front forward/rewind
- Endurance races can be saved mid-race
- Expanded online lounge features (Narrowing down car types, shuffle races)…
- Improved UI response and usability
- Photo enhancements (take pics of your cars with your Avatar)
- Expansion of the B-Spec remote race you can play from GT.com (a graph display now shows changes in race rankings.)
- Added a “NASCAR Pit Scene” stage to Photo Travel
- Added eleven 2011 model NASCAR cars
- Added the Nissan GT-R N24 Shulze Motor Sport
- Improved physics and AI
- Support for the Logitec G25/G27 Steering wheel.
