Sony: Mobile Gamers Will Move to PlayStation Vita
The PlayStation Vita will not struggle against the smartphone gaming sector, and will in fact draw mobile gamers over to the platform. That's according to Sony's US hardware marketing boss, John Koller. But then, you would expect him to say that.

"That 'new ways to play' idea, particularly for Vita, really differentiates from what's available on mobile phones or tablets and, frankly, what will be available on those platforms over the next three to five years," he told Gamespot.

"You're going to see PS Vita expand what a lot of people believe to be true about handheld gaming, and you're going to see a lot of those current mobile phone and tablet gamers come over to Vita. We're very convinced of that."

Bold words indeed. Do you think Vita will differentiate itself enough for gamers to hop across from iPhone? Let us know in the comments box below.

Hum, I think not.

Sony and Nintendo time to move hand helds over to the Apple app store way of thinking.

You need to do this before its too late. OK because your games are more full lenght titles then you could charge more but not the £19 to 39.99 you want to charge. I think about £9.99 is the correct price.

Also you need instant downloads like the app store. With stores that don't lag or say loading. What the F*** is loading on a store?

Without this you are both dead.

I believe Sony are deluded on this one. There's just no value in a dedicated handheld games machine when you already take your smartphone everywhere.

To be fair, Sony and Nintendo will have far better gaming experiences than smartphone/tables offer. And I do personally feel that cheap app type games damage the industry more than help it. There are games well worth their higher retail price point but people now expect games to cost next to nothing. Unfortunately I cant see Vita being that successful.
