Zurich Sues Sony, Claims Non-Liability for PSN Hack
So hey, that PlayStation Network hacking business? It seems Sony's insurer, Zurich American, doesn't want any part of it. The company is suing the PlayStation maker in a New York court to protect itself from any liabilities from the incident.

The case being made is that Sony took out general cover for its PSN service - which doesn't include cyber-warfare and digital attacks. In its words, Zurich's only liability to Sony is for "bodily injury, property damage or personal and advertising injury."

Sony has been hit with around 55 court cases over the PlayStation Network hack in the US, and this has led to the company palming off some of the costs via insurance claims on Zurich's policy. In case its defensive approach doesn't work, Zurich is also suing other Sony insurers to establish a shared responsibility.
