That's why Vita is so easy apparently

Sony Wants to Support Smaller Dev Teams
Sony's making all the right noises if he wants to get lots of games ready for the PlayStation Vita. And one of those noises is yelled in the direction of smaller developers.

SCE's Shuhei Yoshida has in fact expanded this to the industry as a whole, saying. "As an industry, we have to support those smaller teams, and let them try out their ideas."

He follows this with one of the truest statements of the entire gaming generation: “Without doing so, the whole industry will stall, in terms of innovation."

In a world of wargames, sequels and shovelware, in fact, no truer word has been said.

In terms of Vita, however, he is a little more, well, fluffy in what he means, “It is small and light and easy for developers to handle."

Hardening that up he says, “We made it so the development kit wouldn’t be too expensive.”
