Nintendo has announced that it will be distributing Capcom's Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D in Europe for the 3DS. The game is lined up for a July launch.
The game is a beefed-up form of the Mercenaries mini-game that was present in Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5 - a time-attack based shooter that sees you scoring points by capping the crap out of the undead (or otherwise 'plagued' demon-esque fiends).
A two-player co-op mode is included as well as a perks feature to give yourself more abilities as you progress.
In the agreement, Capcom will remain the publisher of the title, but Nintendo will be "responsible for sales, marketing and distribution of the game throughout European territories." Similar arrangements have been made for many of Capcom's past Nintendo-based titles.
