Sucker's Punch's director for inFamous 2 - Nate Fox - has added more meat to the bones of the User Created Content (UGC) for the game. He's also pointed out that you will be able to carry over character traits from the first game.Says Nate, "At the beginning of the game, it'll ask 'Do you want to continue with your game?", he then remembers not to actually define whether you can continue in both Good or Bad even if you've finished the first game in both modes and have saves. "You can just continue through with that character that you developed.
"But it's not required, if you didn't play the first game you are totally set."
Adding to what we've
already reported, regarding UGC the fantastic Mr Fox tells
Gamespot (video), “The best part about it is that these missions just show up in your game world, so while you’re running through the mainline story path you can just decide, ‘I’m going to try one of these UGC missions’.
"You don’t need to go to a database online to download it, it just shows up in New Marais. You know they’re going to be good because they’re selected by Sucker Punch.”
He also comments on the upgraded melee combat, “When we shipped
inFamous we kept getting the same message over and over again: ‘I just want to smash people’s face in.’
“It’s kind of the superhero thing, right? You just want to take your fists and knock somebody’s block off – that’s what you see in these classic superhero adventures, so we want to do it right.”
Not so much actually, but that's just us.
