Time for a quick round-up of the "New Nintendo HD Console for E3" details currently doing the rounds. Well, 'details' maybe pushing a point.... but here we go.First up: Nintendo has an HD console for release in 2012 being announced at E3 this year.
Next up: It's going to have Blu-ray according to... anonymous sources talking to the completely un-invested
Blu-ray.com, which states, "Sources have revealed to Blu-ray.com that Nintendo are looking at including Blu-ray as the main optical drive. This would be a natural progression from the Wii which uses DVD, but it isn't clear if Nintendo would enable BD movie playback..."
Next, next up, "Nintendo's Wii successor is set to utilise an entirely new controller and will be more powerful than Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, well-placed international industry sources have
told CVG."
Guess what? CVG reports that
IGN reports more about the... CVG story.
Nintendo's saying nothing but must be loving the fact that these stories all undermine that fact that (according to anonymous sources) Microsoft will reveal Xbox 720 at E3... or something.
