The Nintendo 3DS may have been the big launch focus of last week, but in the UK Video Game Chart it was EA's blockbuster shooter Crysis 2 that truly came out on top, beating LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars into a bloody pulp (and into second place).
Sales of Crytek's latest have been divvied up as follows: 58 per cent went to the Xbox 360 version, 27 per cent were sold for the PS3 and 14 per cent were PC-bound (though that figure doesn't include digital sales). The final 1 per cent is as-yet unaccounted for - perhaps it went to a secret console that nobody knows about.
EA's win leaves THQ's Homefront in 3rd position on the Top 10. Capcom's Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition takes the honour of most popular Nintendo 3DS exclusive as it debuts at #4, while other launch titles include Pilotwings Resort (#6) and Rayman 3D (#9).
