Kinect Faster Selling than Apple Says GWR
Guinness World Records is stating that with 10 million sales since Kinect's November 4th launch, Microsoft's controller is the "fastest-selling consumer electronics device on record."

According to GWR, "The sales figures outstrip those of both Apple's iPhone and iPad when launched".

In fact, Gaz Davies, editor of Guinness World Records 2011 Gamer's Edition, said, "We can confirm that no other consumer electronics device sold faster within a 60-day time span, an incredible achievement considering the strength of the sector."

Apparently, Kinect sold eight million units between 4 November last year and 3 January 2011.

We're looking into the where the figures were sourced.

A peripheral for a games console that over 40 million consumers already own that costs £130~, versus a standalone general electronics device which had no consumer precedent that costs £600~.

Yeah, that comparison makes sense.
