Microsoft Financial Growth Led by Xbox 360
Microsoft is thanking the stars for its Entertainment and Devices Division this week, as sales of the Xbox 360 and Kinect were responsible for the company posting strong financial results for the Q2 period.

Company revenue for the quarter (ending 31st December) totaled US$19.95 billion, with the Xbox 360 and Kinect division in particular seeing a whopping revenue growth of 55 per cent. Sales of Kinect was a particular highlight, with Microsoft adding that 8 million units were sold within 60 days of the product's launch.

Other areas of growth that helped contribute to the record second-quarter financials include the Business Division thanks to steady demand for Office 2010, and the 2 million sales of the Windows Phone 7 mobile OS to handset makers.
