Activision Explains latest Tony Hawk Tanking
The CEO of Activision Publishing, Eric Hirshberg, has explained why Tony Hawk Shred tanked at retail.

Asked about the cause behind the low sales figures of the title which has seen the game only shift 3,000 copies from its release on October 26th to the end of the month according to Cowen & Co. analyst Doug Creutz, Hirshberg explained that the target audience is very different to that of previous offerings in the franchise.

He added that “There’s hopefully a method to that madness” and that “For the first time we’re targeting that game to kids. It’s a gift-oriented game, but, that said, we need to build awareness for the game still. … I think you’ll hopefully see a bigger ramp-up as we get further into the gift giving season.”

You heard it here first kids. Help the game's sales along by going out and picking up a copy of Tony Hawk Shred leading up to Christmas. The sales figure need a boost after all.
