According to figures not from Activision but from UKIE/GfK Call of Duty: Black Ops has sold outsold Modern Warfare 2 on its UK launch day with 1.4 million units compared to 1.23m.
MCV reports that, "It marks the biggest day one performance of any game, comfortably beating last year’s Modern Warfare 2 by 14 per cent in units and 22 per cent in revenue."
The report states that this is £58m in revenue, which would see all 1.4m units selling at £41 a pop. Of course, the chances of all 1.4m units selling for £41 are zero.
