The creator of the Gran Turismo series of games, Kazunori Yamauchi, has confirmed in a recent interview that Gran Turismo 5 is at the disc-printing stage.
When asked at the most recent SEMA car show in Las Vegas, Nevada, "When will GT5 be released?", Yamauchi replied that "The discs are being stamped as we speak", backing this up with a disc-stamping motion as he answered the question.
Reassurance enough that yes, Gran Turismo 5 will be in players hands this year (we think).
