Gran Turismo 5 Delayed Again
Poor old SCEA producer Taku Imasaki. It was his turn this morning to draw from the hat of doom the ticket marked, 'Your turn to announce a GT5 delay."

This is what he wrote on the US PlayStation blog - although the game has also been delayed in Europe as confirmed by SCEE.

"We can confirm that Gran Turismo 5 will not be available this November 2nd, but the game’s release will be coming this holiday season.

"We sincerely apologize to GT fans for the delay, however, creator Kazunori Yamauchi and the team at Polyphony Digital want to make certain they are creating the perfect racing experience, and we are confident that this ambitious game will exceed expectations when it launches.

"We’ll have more information for you in the near future."

You can almost see him sighing and wandering away from the keyboard with his head down, shrugging as he passed the Killzone guys.

This is getting seriously annoying. I can see it being delayed til January or February.

How about, just don't announce a game until it's finished? (Aside from manufacturing, perhaps.)

Did someone finally notice it was releasing very close to Kinect?
