Sony has confirmed in a press conference that it's due to release a firmware update that will allow the playback of 3D Blu-ray discs in October.Speaking at this year's Internationalen Funkausstellung Berlin (IFA for short) the company has confirmed that a firmware update will be released next month that will support the 3D technology in upcoming Blu-ray titles.
The 3D firmware update for Blu-ray playback was previously mooted for September, but it sounds like that's not to be the case. We've got the 3D PSN release of
MotorStorm and
WipEout to keep us going in the meantime...
