Latest Hawk outing retains the peripheral
Remember that skateboard peripheral you bought as part of the £99.99 Tony Hawk Ride bundle? The one under the bed. We'll it's time to dig it out.
Tony Hawk: Shred, originally announced by the man himself in April, will be using it when it's released "this holiday season as the gift that keeps on giving." Those are Activision's words, not ours.
The game is set in Whistler, the French Alps and Beijing, China. Yes, you didn't forget that snowboarding is being shoehorned in to the flagging franchise. It is.
The game is also aimed firmly at younger children with a call for them to get off the couch in the 'family room'. Yup, stop playing snow/skateboarding games kids... get outside is the message.
Tony Hawk: SHRED is in parallel development by two different studios: Robomodo for the Xbox 360 and PS3. Buzz Monkey for Wii.
Finally, if you don't already own the board peripheral, don't fret, there's a new one out this year... and it's in a different colour.
