Ex-Infinity Ward Staff vs Activision: Legals get Nastier
The legal battle between former Infinity Ward employee and Activision/Blizzard has pepped up in terms of invective with Activision being accused of 'secret interrogations' and setting up a 'police state' but also apparently sees the IW group asking for less money.

Back in April a group of ex-IW people called the "Infinity Ward Employee Group" (IWEG) filed suit against Acti/Blizz. The suit accused "Activision of holding employees "hostage" and withholding royalty and bonus payments, future profits, and it's demanding "between $75 million and $125 million in damages."

According to Kotaku, "An addendum to the suit filed (on Friday July 9th) lays out what the former employees say happened to the bonuses and royalties they were expecting."

The group "also lowered what the group is asking from at most $216 million in punitive damages and unpaid bonuses, down from half a billion (US dollars)."

The full suit claims that before terminating staff at IW, Acti/Blizz only paid 40% for Modern Warfare 2. The remaining 60% has allegedly been withheld because the parent company is demanding that it, "develop, produce, complete and publish" Modern Warfare 3 by November 2011.
