Modern Warfare 2 Map Pack Hits After Noon Today - Saga of XP
Stimulus and Hardcore Stimulus get double XP
The controversial Modern Warfare 2 'Stimulus Pack' so lovingly disparaged by Dice, is due to hit sometime after noon today.
Microsoft's Graeme Boye, aka Aceybongos, informed the world this morning as follows:
"Chill oot #MW2 fans! The Stimulus Package will hit LIVE after 12, but it might take a while to show up - ta in advance for your patience!"
Not only that but...
"to clarify - the #MW2 Stimulus Package will be available after 12 noon UK. Double XP is defo on the Stimulus and Hardcore Stimulus playlists."
And then, "Ah right, my source tells me that apparently Double XP does apply to everything, not just the new maps."
However, the saga goes on and on with Boyd having to clarify that via Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling that, "Oh my god. I am shooting all my sources here. According to @fourzerotwo, Double XP only applies to the new maps. Sorry!"
So, if you've got 1,200 MS points, go for it.

some of my friends have it working ive even checked also i downloaded the update and it still wont work. It happend with sky player when that was launched it failed but still they should have fixed all the bugs and tested it before they give it to us not knowing if it will work or not.

Yeah I have friends playing and saying that its working fine for them - then why wont it work for me - this is so s**t!! Like waited all day for it to come out - spent a tenner on it and now the s**t thing wont work!! Like come on - should they not have had long enough to get it working - and why would they release it when its obviously not!! Piece of s**t!!

So you haven't actually bought the map pack and it isnt working? I keep trying over and over but nothing - even though my friend who lives about 10 minutes away is sitting playing his!! Like seriously!! Such a waste of time and money - this better be worth it!!x

Spoke too soon - it only let me play one game on Afgan and then it stopped again and I am still getting the message - communication with the xbox live servers has been interupted!! I'm going to chuck this out the window in a minute agh!!! I'm not very good with patience!! x

Havnt downloaded any map pack and im just able to get online but can't get into any games what so ever being bloody annoying tbh. Why don't they just frigging fix it >.<!

thats what happened to mine - but I downloaded the map pack - I've managed to play one game on multiplayer of Estate and haven't managed anything else!! This is so s**t!! I don't remember this many problem with WAWs map packs?x
