San Andreas-Like Exclusivity Deal for PS3 'Leaked' to Media

Sony's preparing some huge announcements at E3 this year, if the latest rumours are anything to go by. Website PlayStation Insider has received a tip off from "a source close to the gaming community" that claims that several things in Sony's presentation will be on the scale of its GTA: San Andreas exclusivity deal.

"Expect huge bombs at this E3," the source said. "There will be a few announcements, not one. I cannot tell you anything more."

So, no actual information but an efficient piece of media handling by SCEE comes shortly after Nintendo announces a new 3D DS handheld.

Apparently Agent is not the game the anonymous tipster is talking about, and despite mentioning San Andreas was at pains to say that Rockstar is not involved in the announcements.

Whether this is simple puffery, or Sony has managed to 'leak' spoiler misinformation to PSinsider, E3 2010 is shaping up to be one hell of a ride with hardware announcements, motion gaming peripherals and a mountain of exclusives bound to be revealed.
